things to finish for The End Is Nigh challenge is to pick a title for my WIP I began during SoCNoC. Listening to the latest Whispers at the Edge episode Philippa Ballantine talks about titles! She suggests various ways to come up with titles, so I tested them out...
- Main Character Titles: Daughter of Two Kings; The Black Prince's Wife
- Action Titles: Seeking Queen Praedar; Thwarting Darkness; Weeding Praeda Hill
- Place Titles: Seed Realm; Divided Continent, Divided Loyalties
- Quote Titles: Pass!
- Concept Titles: Some Place to Grow
The quote one I passed on and the concept title is a blantant spin on her example! My favourite is 'Seeking Queen Praedar' which was the first title that came to mind after listening to your Writer's Life section. I like all of the main character titles and action titles. I think they suit the story the best.
My new title is: 'Seeking Queen Praedar'. It has a double meaning: the main character's search for self as she becomes Queen Praedar and the mystery surrounding the former Queen Praedar.

"The Black Prince's Wife" I like the most, but it sounds a lot like several other titles like "The Time Traveler's Wife" and "Galileo's Daughter" etc...
Still, sounds like isn't a bad one. You could name it after the main character... just use her name... of course, I don't know her name.
You could shorten it from any of those... "The Black Prince" or "Praeda" maybe...
Anyway, feel free to ignore me.
The main character's name is 'Eloise'. I quiet like your suggestion of just 'Praeda'.
