I'm one scene away from completing the rewrite for Act I. It was just a plot point in my outline and already I've had ideas for how to develop it into a full blown scene. Act I should finish up at about 14,000 words.
I've copied 19 scenes from Storylines to yWriter for me to start rewriting Act II. 7 scenes made the cut from the first draft adding 6,000 words to the word count. Familiarising myself with the next act in the story does highlight the fact that I need to review it. So, once I've finished Act I that's what I'll do.
Already I think I need to make one action Brigid (my MC) takes result in the desired outcome rather than her being saved by her mentor so early on. It will give the beginning a lot more power and give the small community better background for their actions. This, I know, will add scenes and I can see that the outline isn't as concise as it could be. All of this is good news as it means more scenes and more words!

Hey. I just stumbled on your blog. You inspire me! I especially love your blog title. Sadly, I break that rule all the time. :( Blessings!

Thanks Emily! I break it sometimes too, though less often now that I am reminded of it everyday. :)
