In my current outline I have 31 scenes. I have rewritten 6 of those at an average of 1,600 words per scene. If I continue at this average then the book will finish at 49,600 words. That is not long enough for a novel. I was hoping for double that.

The silver lining is that I should be able to finish this draft by the end of May, in time of the Southern Cross Novel Challenge. Then I may have two novels in a state to be edited towards submission.
