Well, maybe not everything but definitely life and writing. See how I have life before writing in that sentence? That is just one symptom of many that has kept me from my blog over the last week. But, I have been doing writing-related activities!

Kiwi Writers, though I haven't been my usual active self with it, has continued without me. There are two challenges that I'm particularly excited about. The October Zing Thing challenging you (yes, YOU) to write a 2000 word short story this weekend with a twist like nothing you have ever written before! I won't be participating but I'm hopeful of making some more progress on Eve's Vineyard, the short story I began as part of the September Zing Thing.

The "NaNo is Nigh" challenge
is a member challenge that has been posted by sailorchibi and is a great spin on The End is Nigh challenge just for NaNoWriMo! It's just the encouragement I'm sure all of you Wrimo's need to finish a writing project or finished "enough so I don't feel guilty". I'm participating in this one to try and be right up to date with my Think Sideways lessons before the wedding.

This past week I have made good progress on my Think Sideways lessons jumping from lesson 9 to lesson 11. Lesson 13 became available today but I think over the end of this week and the weekend I should be able to get up to Lesson 13. I enjoyed Lesson 10 a lot because working through it I uncovered two twists that then led to a handful of new scene ideas. Every time I work with blood-magic I get really excited about the story and I'm just as excited about my ability to produce it how I'm envisioning it.

So, if that isn't enough to keep you occupied while I'm off getting married I don't know what is!
