1. Submit "Rebuilding Retehoro" to New Zealand publisher(s).
This has been my primary goal. I've fought my way through the mess of forest to find a path. Now I'm 11 scenes into the final draft that will have about 64 scenes. My book math tells me I could be submitting in November.
  1. Complete and graduate from Holly Lisle's How to Think Sideways course. - Completed.
  2. Submit 3 short stories to paying markets.
I've submitted 2 short stories to paying markets. Both have come back as rejections and I need to either revise a short story or write & revise a new one before I have a third story to send out.
  1. Complete the first draft of a new novel. - Abandoned.
I know what my next novel will be but I am really, really not in a rush to get to the revision stage again. Completing revision on "Family Trust" at the end of September I won't be up to finishing a new draft until next year.
  1. Critique 3 pieces of fiction.
I've critiqued 1 piece of fiction and I may have time to critique some short fiction in October and December.
  1. Participate in 3 writing challenges: NaNoEdMo, SoCNoC and NaNoWriMo. - Abandoned.
  2. Read 3 non-fiction books on writing. - Completed.
  3. Develop 3 novel ideas.
This is what I want to start on once heavy revisions of "Family Trust" are off my plate. I won't get to 3 but I'd be pleased with 1.
