Project 2012: From First Draft To Submission

Do you have a first draft (or many) languishing on your hard drive?  Want to get it ready to submit, but have no idea where to start?  Or maybe you’ve been picking at it for months, changing this and that and getting nowhere.

In 2012 I will be running a year-long project on the blog, stepping through the process of turning that first, rough draft into a submission-ready novel, complete with synopsis and query letter.

My main writing goal for 2012 is to vanquish my editing demons that were given far too much power during the revision of my last novel. I’d love to finish the year with a revised version of my Summer Holiday novel but that’s not the goal. I’ll be pleased with having used it as a case study for as many revision techniques as I can experiment with.

What better way to tackle a scary revision project than with the help of writing friends? And so I join Merrilee and frends in Project 2012.

Sounds great. Revising something publishable out of my current work is my main 2012 writing goal.

Can’t wait to see what your going to do here.
